Kitty (Kathryne) Wansley, 71, of Olathe, KS, passed away September 25th 2018, with her family by her side. She was born to the late Wilson and Mildred Welch, February 3rd, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After graduating from Shawnee Mission West High School, Kitty went on to follow her dreams and moved to Atlanta, GA. There she attended Massey Junior College and received her Associate in Arts – Interior Design in 1967. She married Robert Douglas Wansley, of Atlanta, GA in 1970. Together they had a Daughter, Kindell Marie Wansley, in 1972.Kitty, and her daughter, moved back to Kansas in 1974 where she continued following her dream to be an interior designer. She eventually opened her own successful business, Personal Touch Interiors, in Overland Park, KS. She ran her business like she lived her life, with passion, care, and kindness. Many of the people she helped create beautiful homes for became life-long friends.Kitty closed the doors to her business while battling breast cancer and moved to Warrensburg, Mo with significant other Merle Prince. Kitty enjoyed country living with Merle for many years to come. The city, and her love of design, eventually called her back to KS where she went to work for McIntyre Mann until semi-retiring in 2010.One of Kitty's greatest dreams came true in 2009 when daughter, Kindell, gave birth to a baby girl and she became a Nana to granddaughter, Nova Kathryne Berger. She loved Nova more than words can express and spent as much time with her as she could. Kitty enjoyed reading, putting together puzzles, playing games, or just snuggling in the recliner with her granddaughter.Kitty leaves behind one daughter, Kindell Marie Berger of Olathe, KS, Son-In-Law Kelly Berger, granddaughter Nova Kathryne Berger and bonus granddaughter Skielyn Sharlette Berger. She is survived by three siblings: Mary Rusich of New Orleans, LA; John Welch of Holden, MO; and Barbie Phillips of St. Louis, MO. She also leaves behind nephews: Michael Davis, Adam Welch, and Brian Hazzard, as well as nieces: Jamie Davis-Kreutzer, Tiffany Hazzard, and Fawn Welch. She also leaves behind 14 great nieces and nephews. Kitty enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything else. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
