Following graduation I attended two years of college, then enlisted in the Marine Corps. I was fortunate that my four year enlistment took me to California for six months and to Oahu, Hawaii, for 38 months. Following separation from the service, I resumed my college education, while working for my father in the automobile business. I was married in November, 1971, and graduated from Ottawa University with a degree in Business Management in 1973. In 1974 I began working as a police officer in Ottawa, Ks. In 1976 I was employed by the Olathe, Ks, Police Department, retiring with the rank of Major

Phil would have been so happy to know that so many classmates remembered him in comment and in person at his funeral service. He so enjoyed our time at West and the many times we gathered after.  I know he is at peace♥️🙏🏻

Carter, I don’t know if you’ll see this, but want you to know Phil died on 4-15 from a massive coronary. Two days before our birthday.
