Juanita Snooky Thomas, 62, of Edgerton, KS, passed away July 22, 2010, at her home after a long battle with cancer. 

Juanita was born September 30, 1947 in McArthur, AR, to Oliver L. and Regina (Keeton) Ingle. She was a graduate of Shawnee Mission West. Juanita married Vernon Charles Thomas on November 21, 1966 in Olathe. They moved to Edgerton in 1966. She helped her husband with the family business, Pumpkins and Pines, selling many Christmas trees over the years at the farm as well as selling produce at the Farmers Market. Juanita was a loan processor for seventeen years, starting with The Farmers Bank, First Kansas Bank and now Metcalf Bank. She worked at both the Gardner and Edgerton locations, retiring last year. She was a member of the Gardner Baptist Church. Juanita enjoyed country music and loved her Bunko group. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father Oliver Ingle, and siblings Betty Carrea, Wanda Conkling and Kenneth Ingle. Juanita is survived by her husband Vernon, of the home; mother Regina Ingle of Gardner; son Steven C. Thomas and wife Cindy and daughter Laura L. and husband Scott Bailey all of Edgerton; six grandchildren, Megan, Morgan, Danielle, Denise, Jason, and Brendan; sister Linda J. Main of Olathe; brothers Timothy S. Ingle of Olathe; and Johnny L. Ingle of Ft. Scott.
